These Two Valentine’s Dinners Are Worth Leaving the House For
This Valentine’s Day, Giza Palace Hotel & Spa presents two curated dining experiences, from Asian-inspired flavours at ONU to a seven-course Valentine’s menu at Arola Brasserie.
Valentine’s Day at Giza Palace Hotel & Spa unfolds across two familiar names — ONU and Arola Brasserie — each setting the tone for a night designed to linger a little longer than usual.
Both restaurants are marking the occasion with curated Valentine’s set menus, built for sharing and paced with intention, where the pleasure lies as much in the gaps between courses as in the dishes themselves.
At ONU, the Pan-Asian restaurant inside the palace, the evening begins gently. The menu opens with lighter courses — warming broths and softly spiced starters — before easing into seafood and dumplings that encourage sharing without negotiation. The centre of the meal settles into a beef tenderloin main served with seasonal Asian vegetables, followed by dessert layered with sesame, berries, and vanilla. A harp plays throughout service, low and continuous, present enough to be felt but never to interrupt the table. The Valentine’s menu at ONU is priced at EGP 6,700++ per couple.
Across the palace, Arola Brasserie takes a more fluid, course-led approach. Led by chef Sergi Arola, who heads a two-Michelin-starred restaurant, the seven-course Valentine’s menu unfolds gradually, each plate arriving with a sense of progression. Seafood-led starters open the experience, followed by truffle-forward dishes, before the evening lands on a surf-and-turf main pairing beef tenderloin with lobster. Dessert follows in red berries and chocolate. Live violin music moves through the dining room across service, catching moments between courses. The Valentine’s menu at Arola Brasserie is priced at EGP 6,500++ per couple.
Together, ONU and Arola Brasserie offer two ways into the same kind of night — one soft and slow-building, the other gently cinematic. Both are designed for couples who want Valentine’s Day to be more felt: a long dinner, good music, shared plates, and no reason to rush home.
